In 1979, Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa Martin founded Il Fanale in Treviso, a workshop specialising in the production of high-quality lamps using materials such as copper, brass, and iron. Their passion for tradition and craftsmanship led them to develop an exclusive oxidation process that remains a family secret to this day.
Il Fanale opened to new ideas and styles with the arrival of the second generation, Marzia and Tomas Dalla Torre. This is how the first collections of lamps with a contemporary taste were born, flanking the rustic ones with a traditional style.
Working with designers and creative people, the company becomes a laboratory of ideas, where experimental projects come to life. In 2014, Enzo Berti’s Bitta lamp was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro for its discreet renewal of a traditional and symbolic object.
In 2020, Il Fanale continues to explore the world of light, opening up to hybridisation. It discovers in the Mediterranean métissage a new key to express its multifaceted personality. The company continues to follow its philosophy of creating high quality products, made with the finest materials and craftsmanship, to answer the needs of the most demanding customers.
Il Fanale has become a benchmark in the lighting world thanks to its passion for tradition and craftsmanship, its constant search for innovation and its collaboration with internationally renowned designers. The company’s collections are characterised by elegance, originality, and the ability to adapt to any environment.
