Paolo Ulian is an eclectic and creative figure who transforms materials and concepts into works of functional art. Born in 1961, Ulian has developed an extraordinary career fusing art and craftsmanship with industrial design.
 
After graduating in industrial design in 1990, he won the ‘Design for Europe’ award in Belgium with an astonishing project: a cardboard screen. This award marks the beginning of a successful and innovative path. Ulian then moved to Milan, where he had the opportunity to work with legendary designer Enzo Mari. This experience would further shape his approach to design, emphasising craftsmanship and functionality.
 
In the 1990s, with his brother Giuseppe, Paolo Ulian founded his design studio and began creating projects that reflected his distinctive aesthetic. His works often realised through collaborations with Italian and foreign companies, are characterised by a fusion of elegant forms and innovative materials.

From his first projects with Driade and Bieffeplast in 1995 to his collaboration with Droog Design and renowned companies such as Fontana Arte and Sensi&C., Ulian has earned a reputation as a design craftsman who knows how to combine innovation with traditional work.
