Features of Modulor
The Modulor system consists of units that can be combined to create customised and tailor-made environments. Its clean, minimalist lines match perfectly with any furnishing style. In addition, the system features a silent sliding mechanism for easy opening and closing of the panels.
Modulor is a modern and refined boiserie system. It presents a surface with horizontal and vertical structures where glass containers, slim shelves and display cabinets fit perfectly. The panels are equipped with dimmable LED lighting at the top and bottom.
At the base of Modulor are the panels, available in four widths (320, 640, 960, 1280 mm). These permit tailor-made boiserie design, up to a maximum height of 3894 mm and a maximum width of 1280 mm per panel. The horizontal cross-pieces then allow for customisation, as well as maximum aesthetic and functional quality.
Materials
The Modulor system is made of high-quality materials such as aluminium and glass. Extruded aluminium, a result of Rimadesio’s technological research, is light but strong, while glass creates a transparent effect that enhances the surrounding space. Besides, the materials used are recyclable and sustainable, for a lower environmental impact.
Rimadesio’s system offers a wide range of finish options to meet every design requirement. The extruded aluminium supporting structure is available in 46 colours from the Ecolorsystem collection. The paints are water-based, ecological and free of harmful substances.
The upholstery is available in 158 finishes, including glossy, matt, reflex and mirror lacquered glass, fabric in the Lux and Material range, wood, Sahara glass with an exclusive wavy effect, faux leather and Litech.
Inside the storage units, the sides and back come in glass with numerous finishes, from glossy and matt Ecolorsystem lacquered colours to transparent and satin glass. In addition, the system includes continuous lower and upper LED lighting.
New features of the Modulor system
The system has recently been extended. Among the main new features are the column units that mark the linearity of the system with a highly visual effect. Available with suspended drawers and 5 mm aluminium shelves, these new elements give rhythm to the wall system without altering its geometry.
Moreover, a TV stand module and a hinged door with a push opening have been included, which joins the versions with handle and lock already present in Modulor’s storage option. The shelves with LED lighting include a latest-generation LED lamp in just 5 mm, completely concealed in the thickness of the top.
The Modulor system blends perfectly into the architecture of rooms, offering tailored solutions that integrate ceiling height changes, steps or floor level changes and concealed sliding doors.
The option of integrating Rimadesio sliding doors is possible for all models except Graphis Light. The panel disappears into the boiserie and is perfectly aligned with the door frame cover, designed to adapt to any thickness differences among the walls. It also features a built-in sliding track, which allows for levelling and compensation of any unevenness.
