Features of the Albero bookcase by Poltrona Frau
The Albero bookcase by Poltrona Frau elevates with its load-bearing structure in solid Canaletto walnut, giving it a natural elegance and unparalleled robustness.
Consisting of two toothed supports, equipped with an innovative rack joint, and four vertical pillars with regular holes, it allows for the assembly of eight or twelve shelves according to taste.
The shelves are made of medium-density wood fibre, with wood veneer, and provide a versatile space for displaying books, precious objects and works of art, transforming the bookcase into a creative and expressive environment.
The ceiling and floor spikes join at the ends of the toothed supports, stabilising the structure securely. The upper toe elegantly fits inside a ‘glass’ anchored to the ceiling, while the lower toe provides a stable grip on the floor through its non-slip rubber.
To ensure solid fixation, four metal ferrules in the attachment tips ensure perfect stability. The fastening elements, including the brackets and the tumbler, have a high-quality, antiqued burnished steel finish, lending a rustic touch of elegance.
A unique and distinctive detail is the laser engraving of the designer’s signature and Poltrona Frau logo on the lower pillar, testifying to the authenticity and originality of each Albero bookcase.
How to use it
In addition to serving as a display space, the Albero bookcase serves as a design element that completes and embellishes the environment. Thanks to its 360° rotation, you can organise your favourite books and objects in different configurations, satisfying the aesthetic and functional requirements of the surrounding context.
The option of enriching the shelf top with a mat in Saddle Extra leather, 4 mm thick and with a tone-on-tone dyed edge, lends an additional dash of luxury and protection.
