Baxter is an excellence of the Italian tanning tradition that has been able to preserve the craftsmanship qualities that have always distinguished it, becoming a flagship of Made in Italy in the world.
The Baxter brand was founded in 1990, in Lurago d’Erba, in the province of Como. The company originates from an endless passion for refined design and attention to detail. Its founder is Luigi Bestetti, heir to a family that has made furnishing a mission.
At Baxter, the love of beauty is joined with the centuries-old Italian tradition of leather crafting. The leather becomes the garment of armchairs, chairs, sofas and furnishing accessories, to be worn in the intimacy and comfort of your home and office.
The main protagonist of Baxter’s production is the finest full-grained leather. Originating in northern Europe, it is taken into the hands of expert masters in Italian tanneries, where it is processed to become exclusive furniture.
The leather is folded, stitched, pleated, polished, and screen-printed by craftsmen who are the keepers of ancient traditions, becoming the ideal suit for living interiors. Each item preserves marks and imperfections that make it unique. The colours, the finish, the design, and the comfort are carefully studied to the smallest detail to create a high-quality piece of furniture able to provide a premium experience.
Baxter’s mission is to convey emotions with each of its creations. In thirty years of history, it has been able to provoke emotions and sensory experiences. Paolo Bestetti, the heir to this tradition, continues the family tradition also thanks to the expertise and creativity of important Italian designers.
The company’s tanners work and dye leather following ancient traditions and using natural anilines. Indeed, at Baxter, if the finest materials are one of its trademarks, environmental respect is equally essential. The craftsmanship of the artisans is in fact part of an ISO 14001-certified production process, a guarantee of transparency for the customer.
